The NINO® Cabas are made of a wooden cylinder covered with a corrugated metal plate, which is surrounded by a net of metal beads. By holding the handle with one hand and scratching the metal beads on the metal plate with the other, you create the classic Cabasa sound. The smaller 2" model is specially designed for a child's hand.
Playing tight rhythmic patterns on a Cabasa isn't the easiest thing to do, but Pearl's Gatling Cabasa will have you sounding like a virtuoso in seconds. The Gatling Cabasa mounts to a standard 3/8" accessory post and features a spring-loaded, rubber-coated clamp that holds the beads securely to the Cabasa.
Simply grip the precision handle to play any pattern you desire, or keep turning it for an infinite "sizzle" not possible with standard Cabasas.
The CBS-100 mounts to a standard 3/8" arm and features a spring-loaded rubber-coated clamp that presses firmly against the beads in the Cabasa.
