Dit product is over 2 weken leverbaar, maar u kunt nu alvast een pre-order plaatsen en 10% korting ontvangen!
The Rathbone R5SM, also known as the No. 5, is built with the classic wood combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The top features a double-top construction, consisting of two outer layers of solid Sitka spruce with a layer of woven carbon fiber in between. This stiffens the top while also making it more flexible, resulting in a more resonant and responsive playing experience.
The No. 5, with its dreadnought-style body, delivers a truly big sound. Its large body allows it to naturally produce deep, full bass without the need for amplification. It's a versatile guitar that can be used in a wide variety of situations thanks to its balance of volume, size, and playability.
double top
The top of the Rathbone No. 5 is constructed as a double-layered top. This means the top of this guitar consists of three layers: the outer two layers are made of solid Sitka spruce with a layer of woven carbon fiber in between. This results in a top that is both stiffer and more flexible, making it easier to move and resonate freely. This benefits both the playing comfort and the sound of the guitar.
Solid spruce top
Spruce is one of the most traditional woods used to make guitar tops. This is due to its stiffness and ideal strength-to-weight ratio. These characteristics give spruce a very dynamic sensitivity and a rich tone with many harmonic overtones. This makes it excellent for both powerful strumming and delicate fingerpicking.
Mahogany sides and back
Mahogany has long been a highly sought-after wood for the back and sides of acoustic guitars. Its warm, rounded bass tone provides a foundation for any musical style to reach the listener. The midrange is very strong and full-bodied, while the treble is delicate and very pleasant.
Bone saddles
Bone saddles and/or nut are much denser and therefore retain better tonal qualities. A bone saddle or nut produces a brighter sound with more resonance and a better attack. A bone saddle and/or nut truly brings a guitar to life.
