The AE120 is the flagship of the 100 series and is designed as a three-way loudspeaker. The AE120 delivers big sound from a relatively small speaker, with a stylish design. Two bass drivers deliver a truly room-filling performance. A separate midrange driver, housed in its own compartment within the speaker, neutralizes any reflections within the cabinet. Integrated with a Wide Dispersion Technology waveguide, the 25mm soft dome tweeter ensures high sensitivity, control, and distortion-free operation.

The three-way crossover compensates for impedance differences to prevent resonance issues that can slow down the bass and unnecessarily color the midrange. Special attention was paid to phase and time alignment for beautiful coherence across the entire frequency range. This results in very even distribution with exceptionally clear highs and mids and a very tight bass sound. The baffle is made of 18mm MDF and, like its smaller brother, the AE109, is weighted to dampen vibrations. The internal design is specifically designed to minimize midrange coloration for a clear and open sound. Furthermore, the speaker features a discreet plinth for added stability, which improves dynamics and stereo focus.
