X1 S Vocal Pack Condenser Microphone

In 2010, sE Electronics introduced the X1, an affordable and handcrafted condenser microphone with numerous features. The microphone had the highest dynamic range and SPL in its class and offered more capabilities than the competition. Its successor, the sE Electronics X1 S, is a refined version of this modern classic. Improved in almost every way and just as affordable as the original. The Vocal Pack also includes a 3-meter XLR cable and the SE Isolation Pack, a robust shockmount with an integrated adjustable pop filter. Like its predecessor, the X1 S features a handmade condenser capsule, meticulously constructed and tuned by sE's technicians. Compared to its predecessor, the self-noise is very low, making it one of the quietest microphones in its class. The microphone also has improved sensitivity and a higher SPL. The -10 dB and -20 dB pad switches provide a wider dynamic range, making the microphone suitable for a wide range of applications and close-mic techniques. Even for the loudest instruments, such as electric guitars, fortissimo brass, and kick drums. The low-cut filter can be switched to 80Hz or 160Hz; both filters eliminate low-frequency rumble and compensate for the peak (proximity effect) in close-mic techniques. Unlike the cheaply constructed casings of other "entry-level" microphones, the X1 S has an all-metal housing. This ensures suppression of electrical interference and noise.
