Sela Melody Handpans offer an excellent, affordable entry into the world of handpans without compromising on sound and finish. They are partially machined and made of stainless steel alloy. Stainless steel handpans have a much longer sustain than nitrided steel models and are therefore particularly suitable for slow, relaxing, and meditative playing. At the same time, they are very easy to clean and very suitable for beginners, as their quick, sensitive response requires less playing effort. Sela Melody handpans have a matte silver finish, which gives them a subtle and captivating appearance.

The D Kurd tuning (fundamental note 440 Hz) is one of our best-selling scales. The central note in the middle of the handpan is D3, surrounded by the notes A3, Bb3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, and A4. Thanks to its clear D minor scale, the D Kurd can be used for a wide range of melodies, from quiet, meditative and melancholic to powerful and cheerful. The model is therefore equally suitable as a solo instrument or for playing with other handpans or other instruments such as tongue drums, guitar, or percussion.

Each Sela Handpan comes with a tear-resistant nylon bag, which, thanks to its excellent padding, provides optimal protection during transport. It can be carried by hand with the two handles or comfortably as a backpack with the adjustable shoulder straps. A practical outer pocket offers ample space for small accessories such as a metronome.
