With deep grain play of various shades of black and figured light-colored-woods binding, the Ebony series has a look like no other. The black look has become quite popular in recent years and the LEHO ebony series design is demonstrably one of the best sounding out there. LEHO processing assures an almost 3-dimensional woods look. A keepsake uke that forever shines.
EBONY BODY
Black, hard and dense, very dense. Mostly used for saddles and fingerboards, it can however make a nice instrument as well, though it's getting rarer and rarer. The sound of Ebony is characterised by a powerful bass, rich mids and trebles that ring. The sound profile has incredible sustain, very clear tone & projection, very articulate bass, very concise attack and a strong voice. It sits on the rosewood side of the tonal characteristics spectrum.
OPEN PORE FINISH
Not only does the open pore finish enhance the resonance of the woods but it also reduces the weight of the instrument for improved playability. This model’s natural and brown finishes feature gloss top for high-end vintage look and feel.
