This T318 deserves the most performing tonewood for its solid top: the massive engelman spruce offers a powerful sound that harmoniously matches with flamed ovangkol back and sides, a wood that combines transparent harmonics and a rich bass response. There are so many qualities that make this 318 series the most appreciated guitar by musicians as uncompromising on the sound as well as the finishes which is the trademark of Tramontane guitars that is recognized all over the world.

SOLID SPRUCE TOP

Spruce provides an ideal balance between strength and flexibility, hence its overwhelming popularity as the wood of choice for tops of acoustic guitars. Spruce’s versatile sonic character makes it ideal for a variety of musical genres and playing styles.

OVANGKOL BACK & SIDES

Ovangkol is an African relative of rosewood, it’s a great sounding wood that shares many of rosewood’s tonal properties, with a slightly fuller midrange and a top end that’s not quite as bright as maple. A well-rounded kind of sound. Being lesser known than rosewood, Ovangkol has been a sleeper hit over the years, asserting itself as an instant contender among unsuspecting players who try a guitar build with Ovangkol for the first time. Partly thanks to it's availability and pricing but certainly thanks to it's spectacular looks and sound, Ovangkol is turning out to be a serious contender for tonewood of choice for more and more guitar builders.

GRAPHITE NUT & SADDLE

Bridge nuts & saddels made from graphite are denser then their counterparts made from plastic. Graphite nuts & saddles give a brighter and overall more well balanced tone. Graphite nuts & saddles have self lubricating properties which prevent tuning and intonation issues that may occur using other materials.
